Sydney Street Photographers Cockatoo Island Portraiture

Sydney Street Photographers Meet Up Cockatoo Island by Travis Chau on

It was good to be back in Sydney and hang out with other street photographers. Usually we don't take enough photos of ourselves but with the theme was to take other people portraits. I was gladly accepted the challenged and I think I got a few decent shots for the day. But with this kind of event, it is usually the social aspects of it that I really enjoyed.

Cherry Road, Tasmania Australia 2016

Cherry Road Tasmania Australia by Travis Chau on
The road to my camp in Tasmania. Even though I didn't make much money as a cherry picker in Tassie but I though to myself this was the most inexpensive holiday I've ever had. And the view was spectacular. No office can match it in my opinion. There always pros and cons to life isn't it?

Burdock in Black and White, Tasmania Australia 2016

Burdock in Black and White by Travis Chau on
As a cherry picker in Tasmania during my travels one of the best thing was camp outside which pretty much very closed to nature. This wild burdock flower was taken just outside my tent during my stay in Tasmania. The sunset everyday was magical. Photos coming soon.

State Library of Victoria, Victoria Australia

State Library of Victoria, Australia by Travis Chau on

There's many great buildings in Victoria but not many can compare to the State Library of Victoria. When I first walk in they security guards were very accommodating and encouraged people/tourists to take photos. Took a few test shot and walk out but the guards said I can take photos so I did.

And the rest of the time I basically just leisurely taking photos when ever I wanted. How come other states in Australia is not that welcoming? People going to take photos with the smart phones anyway, why not encourage people to share more beautiful photos with a proper camera. I must confessed that I didn't bring out a tripod, but there are ways you can solve that issues.
